Dr. Frank Derratt
Your Los Angeles Chiropractor

Dr. Derratt is an excellent Chiropractic doctor. He has a holistic approach to spinal problems which includes contemporary adjustment technology, traditional manipulation as well as nutritional and exercise recommendations. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years and have made many referrals to him over the years. My back has never felt better, but I see him once a month for preventative back care.

Like many people as I got into my 50’s I had nagging back problems and realized I needed to take a more strategic approach rather than simply mitigating the symptoms.I came to Dr D and after taking x rays he informed me of what could and could not be accomplished with Chiropractic and embarked on a 6 month plan to address the cause rather than deal with the symptoms. It started out 3 times a week for first 2 months, then twice a week and eventually tapering off to my current once a month. Went from a consistent level of discomfort (probably a 2 to 3 on the pain cart) and regular episodes of my “back going out” (where I was all but incapacitated) to having no discomfort at all and my back not having a single episode since we started over 3 years ago. Now I consider my monthly visit as essential maintenance for my health.

My name is Rochelle. Seven to eight years ago, I had an accident resulting in severe neurologic and muscular injury to my head, neck, and back. This left me with on-going chronic pain, debilitating migraines and limited mobility. For the first year and a half to two years after my accident, I had a variety of therapies and medical treatments. None of them resulted in much success. Then one day, I met Dr. Derratt and he improved the quality of my life forever!

I had never been treated by a chiropractor before Dr. Derratt and I had heard many scary stories about terrible experiences of other patients. So, I was a bit apprehensive. But, within minutes of my first visit, Dr. Derratt put me at ease. He began my treatment with a comprehensive physical assessment and analysis of my condition, and took the time to explain every phase of testing along the way. After the assessment was complete, Dr. Derratt met with me to explain the test results, discuss my overall health condition and propose options for treatment. He made sure I understood everything he explained - sometimes using charts and pictures to demonstrate. I left his office with a very clear understanding of what was happening to my body and what was needed in order for me to improve. This was the first time since the accident that I had received this much clarity from any medical professional. I began an intense course of treatment with Dr. Derratt, seeing him several times per week, then a few times per month, then once or twice per month and now as needed. One thing is certain: I always get the greatest relief from my pain when I visit Dr. Derratt. My success with Dr. Derratt is so great that my neurologist recommends I continue to see Dr. Derratt on a regular basis rather than use prescription medication. Also, because of the expert treatment I have received, I have referred friends and each of my three young adult children (one of whom is an athlete) to Dr. Derratt for care. In each case, Dr. Derratt’s expertise and professionalism has resulted in great success and long-term relationships.

Dr. Derratt is the consummate professional. He has great skill and always shares the most up-to-date treatments and protocols with his patients. These traits are extremely important in a health care professional, but it is Dr. Derratt’s character that makes him a unique and amazing healer. Dr. Derratt engages and listens to his patients. He is warm, caring and takes into consideration the ideas and concerns of each of his patients to create personalized treatment. He is accessible by phone for consultation and even provides suggestions for exercises you can do on your own if you’re on vacation or can’t get to his office. Beyond this, Dr. Derratt is friendly and personable and always makes you feel at ease. He’s enthusiastic about chiropractic treatment and the overall wellbeing of his patients. These attributes make the patient want to be an active part of their own healing experience.

My time with Dr. Derratt has given me more than just the relief of pain. Dr. Derratt has set me on the path to improved health - and he has given me a friend who has provided tools to help me be responsible for my own well-being. That is invaluable!

I have been a patient of Dr. Frank C. Derratt's for over 15 years. I came to him because of constant lower back pain, which was debilating at times. Other methods I had tried only caused temporary relief. After a thorough examination, he was able to determine what was causing the pain, and how it could be eliminated. He discussed with me and recommended an aggressive plan of action starting with weekly visits. He explained each treatment and what I could expect. I was ready to try it. With the weekly visits, treatments and adjustments with the PRO ADJUSTER I was on my way to being pain free! What really helps his treatment to work, is the maintenance program which keeps your spine working properly. Proper maintenance of the spine is key. I no longer have the constant pain and I will continue my visits and treatments to keep my spine healthy!
